The National Federation of the Blind of Georgia, Inc.

We Need Your Contributions

The NFB of Georgia is a 501-C (3) non-profit volunteer organization of blind people speaking for ourselves.  We capitalize on the donated services and professional talents of our members.  All funds donated to the NFB of Georgia go directly toward providing training and services necessary to secure true independence and full participation of all blind people in our respective communities. Our activities include, leadership training, advocacy services, community outreach and education, technology acquisition/instruction, and the production and dissemination of literature and technical assistance materials.  With your gracious contributions:

·        We address the dilemma of getting instructional materials in accessible formats for our blind students in kindergarten through college.

·        We confront the crisis of identifying and recruiting qualified education professionals to specialize in teaching the blind and visually impaired.

·        We deal with the difficulty of identifying resources to assist blind individuals acquire the needed services and assistive technology that will result in their employment and greater independence.

·        Most importantly, we meet head on, the challenge of empowering blind people with the necessary leadership and advocacy skills to continue asserting the voice of the blind, for the blind.
